Three stalwarts of the West Tamar Pony & Riding Club have been inducted as life members. They are Ross and Fiona Story and Gill Ireland
At the March rally, the Committee, members and riders of West Tamar Pony & Riding Club had great pleasure in presenting Life Membership Certificates and pins to these three very deserving individuals – all of whom no longer have children at the club. Still they continue to contribute in such a positive way to the development and running of the club.
Ross, Fiona and Gill have all been associated with the club for a considerable number of years with all three being instrumental in developing the club to where it is today.
These days Ross can still be found managing the ground hire, marking out the grounds for games and getting generally frustrated as our Parking Steward at our events.
Fiona spent many years running our canteen, as well as taking on numerous other committee tasks. In more recent times Fiona can be found with a pencil in her hand or tapping away at the computer at the scorer’s desk at our ODE’s.
Gill Ireland has been the Club’s long serving Treasurer which unfortunately means she isn’t always the most popular face around the club. However, Gill’s loyalty and passion for the Club is second to none and with her excellent financial stewardship we certainly would not be where we are today.
A big thank you to the member who provided the celebratory cake and to everyone who bought something yummy to eat for afternoon tea.
